Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.
Isaiah 43:4 (NIV)
Father God, my soul rejoices in this verse. You gave more than people in exchange for my life. Frankly, You have made it clear that they could not have paid the price. No. Instead You gave a Person in exchange for me. Jesus.
Lord Jesus, thank You for loving the Father and loving me so much that You came to redeem me, taking upon Yourself what was my penalty for the sins I have committed. You received what I deserved; my death could not have paid the price. Had I been on the cross instead of You I still would have owed the penalty of penalties: eternal separation from my God. Yet, You suffered separation from the Father so that I would not have to. You paid the price for my sins so that I would not have to. You descended to the depths so that I would not have to. You took my place. And I praise and glorify Your Name this day!
Thank You, Lord, for all You have, are, and will do for me. Thank You for being for me what I could not be for myself, doing for me what I could not do for myself, and loving me in ways that I cannot love myself. You are indeed my Savior, my King, and my Everything! I praise You and worship You. Thank You for bridging the gap and being that Chief Cornerstone!Â
